Why paint is the hardest part of the job
Every vehicle’s paint changes over time. Sun, road salt, and washing all shift the finish slightly, which means a color mixed exactly to the factory code will not always match a ten-year-old panel next to it. That is why blending matters more than mixing.
We spray into the surrounding panels so the transition is gradual rather than a hard line. It uses more material and more time, and it is the difference between a repair you cannot find and one you notice every time you walk up to the car.

Our refinish process
Prep and sand
The repair area is sanded flat and feathered so no edge telegraphs through the finish.
Prime and seal
Primer fills sanding marks and seals bare metal. Without it, the finish fails from underneath.
Mix and spray
Color mixed to your factory code, then applied in a controlled downdraft booth and blended.
Cure and polish
Baked to cure, then de-nibbed and polished so the gloss matches the panels around it.

Will the new paint match my car exactly?
We mix to your vehicle’s factory paint code and then blend into the adjacent panels, which is what makes the repair invisible. A code alone is not enough on an older vehicle, because sun exposure and washing shift the original finish over time. Blending accounts for that difference.
Why are silver, pearl, and tri-coat finishes harder to match?
Metallic and pearl paints contain flakes and mid-coats that reflect light differently depending on spray angle and film thickness. Two panels with identical color codes can still look different if the application varies. These finishes take more test panels and more blending, which is why they add time.
How long before I can wash my vehicle after it is painted?
Hand wash only for the first 30 days, and avoid commercial brush washes entirely during that period. Skip wax for 60 to 90 days. Fresh paint continues to cure after it leaves the booth, and sealing it too early traps solvents in the finish.
Can you repaint my whole car or change the color?
Yes. A full repaint requires disassembling trim, handles, lights, and glass seals so paint reaches the edges instead of stopping at a tape line. Plan on 2 to 3 weeks. A color change also means door jambs and under-hood areas, so tell us up front whether you want those included.
What is blending and why does my estimate include adjacent panels?
Blending means spraying color partway into the panels next to the repair so the transition is gradual. Without it, a perfectly mixed color can still read as a visible line down a door edge. It is standard practice on any quality repair, and insurers routinely approve it.
